TimeMap® Development Update

Due to an unanticipated change in the allocation of domain names at the University of Sydney, where the ECAI/TimeMap® infrastructure is located, some users may be experiencing problems accessing the
ECAI Clearinghouse and/or downloading SID images through the TimeMap® applications: TMView and TMEdit. The problem can be solved as follows:

1. Open TMView or TMEdit.

2. Open the 'Help' menu and choose 'Options'.

3. Press the 'GET' button next to the Middleware URL field.
This should update the value in the field to: http://acl.arts.usyd.edu.au:1977/map

4. Press OK.


Those who have embedded TMJava interactive maps in web pages may also be experiencing difficulties. The solution is to change the codebase specification within the applet tag
from: http://www.archaeology.usyd.edu.au:1977/map/
to: http://acl.arts.usyd.edu.au:1977/map/

The TimeMap® development and support teams apologise for any inconvenience caused by this change, and expect that the acl.arts.usyd.edu.au URL will persist for some time into the future.
