The Religious Atlas of China and the Himalayas is a joint effort by more than two dozen scholars from Asia, Europe, and the United States. The Atlas draws on work in progress by these scholars, as well as digital material that is already available. Some existing digital projects already provide information about Chinese and Himalayan religion and geography. The cooperation of these projects is invaluable to us. They include:

The Alexandria Digital Library
Buddhist GIS, University of Arizona
The China Data Center
The China Historical GIS
The International Dunhuang Project
Mountainsongs.net
The Ricci Institute for Chinese-Western Cultural History
The Tibet Map Institute
The Tibetan and Himalayan Digital Library
The Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center
