BECOMING - IMAGINARY TERRITORIES & MAPS

Shirley Shor / Artist / San Francisco

For Shirley, space is an action, a dynamic process that we are all taking part in Her artistic visuals originate from PC software that generates changeable evolving architectural forms in real-time. These landscapes are a synthesis between the code and the territory. Shifting from the idea of a line being a limit and an act of transgression, Shirley's work conveys the concept of liquid architecture that consists of lines in motion. In her installations she doesn't ask to "cross the border" since the border itself is constantly moving.
