Call for papers
As in past years, ECAI has been invited to host sessions at the annual
conference of the Pacific Neighborhood Consortium. This year's conference
will be held from October 17-22 2004 in Taipei, Taiwan at the Academia
Sinica. The conference is co-sponsored by PNC and by the Pacific Rim
Digital Libraries Association (PRDLA).
The theme is Digital Libraries and Digital Collections in the Global

ECAI invites proposals of papers, poster/demos, and sessions on the
following topics:
Cultural Atlas Showcase/ECAI Plenary
Cultural Atlases in the Classroom
Virtual Reality for Cultural Atlases
Digital Gazetteers Cultural Atlas Development
The deadline for submission of papers, full panel proposals, or poster/demo
abstracts is 12 August. The program committee will send notifications
of acceptance by 20 August.
Abstracts for individual papers and poster/demo presentations should
be 250-300 words. Panel proposals should include 3-4 papers, and the
name of a chair, discussant, and contact person. Please submit ECAI
