ePublications

ECAI, in collaboration with the California Digital Library eScholarship project, is endeavoring to define scholarly publication for the digital age. We believe that much academic work in the humanities, social sciences and history can best be presented to colleagues, students and the public by utilizing web-based technologies and spatial visualization through GIS.

To this end, we are developing standards and processes for creating digital scholarly prefaces and bibliographies, and conducting peer reviews of the technical architecture and the scholarly content of selected ECAI-affiliated projects. We pledge that the published projects are stable and perpetually available to anyone who wishes to use them, just as a book in a library is.

A number of guides have been created to identify the differences between a project and a publication, outline the publication process, identify the requirements for creating a publication and detail the publication submission guidelines. Please use the links below to view these documents.
