Contributions to the Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative are an investment
in scholarship in the 21st Century. Benefits are maximized in three
ways: by the collaboration of scholars across region and discipline,
by engaging technical specialists in serving the needs of scholars,
and by making research available worldwide over the web.
ECAI Central receives funding from the University of California, United
States government foundations, private foundations, and individual donors.
Our funding supports conferences, travel, collection development, research
projects, and administration.
ECAI affiliates are encouraged and assisted in funding their own activities
through grants from their home institutions, government agencies, and
private foundations. Affiliate applications to ECAI Central for technical
assistance, funding and travel subsidies are evaluated on a case-by-base
basis.
